Paper Title: Media Aware Smart Storage Engine (MASSe): An Update

Paper Abstract: The data Lakehouse is a data analytic solution for structured and unstructured data which needs new cost- and performance-effective storage solutions underneath. This talk will discuss the integration of a Media Aware Smart Storage Engine (MASSe) as a last mile standalone storage solution for best hardware cost and performance utilizations. We will also discuss our proposal for next generation storage solutions for AI. Also included will be a review and update on integration strategies and plans for MASSe, including integration with KVDK (Key Value Development Kit), an opensource library that unleashes PMEM performance for various database applications.
