Paper Title: Plenary: The Future of Flash

Paper Abstract: Where will NAND flash technology be five years from now? How about in ten years’ time? In this panel, experts will take a closer look at how flash memory will evolve. This view of the future will look at technologies and trends. It will openly discuss the issues that could bring the amazing progress to a grinding halt -- or that could make the market accelerate by 2025. We’ll look at the challenges that the industry must conquer to continue along its current trajectory. Panelists will be recruited from the R&D labs of leading flash makers, from academia, and from companies that design and fabricate flash-based systems.

Author Bio: With over three decades of experience in the storage and memory industries, Kevin has been a key driver of innovation and disruption in technology and products while generating significant business growth. Kevin has held many important leadership roles, including CEO of Everspin Technologies, the market leader in discrete MRAM solutions. Prior to that Kevin served as a Senior Vice President at SanDisk Corporation where he was Chief Technology Officer and GM of the Client SSD business. Kevin currently serves as Advisor to several companies in the areas of memory, storage and compute, helping bolster new technologies in those markets. Kevin is also an Executive Member with the Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University.
