Paper Abstract: SNIA CMSI and the Solid State Storage and Green Storage Technical Work Groups have listed Reference Real World Workloads for Cloud, Datacenter and Enterprise use cases. These standard workloads cover several use cases and are applicable of application optimization, storage validation and drive development. See examples of workloads for Retail Web Portals, GPS Nav Portals, VDI Storage Clusters, Online DB applications and more. Real World Workload captures are then converted to test steps that can be applied to cloud, NAS and storage devices tests. New and recent SNIA specifications use these Real World Workloads to test SSD, Datacenter Storage and Persistent Memory as well as for power efficiency measurement by the Green Storage TWG Emerald Specifications for EPA, EU and TopRunner test.
