Author Bio: Nick Adams is a Platform Storage Architect in Intel’s Datacenter Group. In this role he drives strategy and innovation in the storage space. He is co-chair of the SNIA Computational Storage TWG and is an active participant within the NVMe Technical Working Group. Prior to his current role at Intel, Nick spent two years at Microsoft as a Director of SW/FW Engineering for the Surface team. Before that, Nick held various System FW Architecture, Management, and Development roles at Intel over the course of 16 years. Nick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and a Master’s degree in Software Engineering, both from Portland State University. He has been issued 11 patents with 12 more pending in the areas of Computer System Firmware and Security
