CASE-201-1: Case Studies Session 3 (Case Studies Track)
Paper Title: NOR Flash for Wearables and Hearables - Use Cases

Paper Abstract: In this presentation we will discuss the stringent requirements of wireless earbuds and IoT wearables and the application of NOR Flash memory in these use cases. Recent advances in microelectronics have enabled the design of smaller and lighter wireless earbuds and IoT wearables that are highly power efficient. At the same time, these new devices contain more code for advanced features, perform data logging, and support over-the-air firmware updates. Attend this session to learn how memory is evolving in the areas of power and size, and advancing to deliver higher densities in smaller form factors that consume minimum power. Also find out how wafer-level and die solutions are enabling custom system-in-package (SiP) designs for even greater flexibility.
