Paper Title: LPDDR Flash innovation enables real-time performance for next-gen automotive SoC

Paper Abstract: With the continuous growth in electrification, digitization, new automated driving functions, and connectivity, the complexity of the vehicle's electrical and electronic (E/E) systems is increasing dramatically. To meet the demands of these next-generation electric vehicles, automotive chipsets are transitioning to advanced process nodes (e.g. 7nm, 5nm) to deliver more compute performance and reduce power consumption. However, moving to advanced manufacturing processes makes embedding non-volatile memories expensive and not scalable. This leads system architects to specify high-performance external NOR Flash for their embedded systems that demand more performance than is available from today's standard xSPI interface NOR Flash products. In this presentation we will explore a new innovative LPDDR Flash that delivers 10X higher performance that meets the real-time performance requirements for a multi-core automotive processor.

Author Bio: Sandeep Krishnegowda is VP of Marketing & Application for Flash Solution at Infineon Technologies. He has worked with embedded memory design, architecture and marketing for more than fifteen years for a broad range of applications from automotive, industrial, datacenter and communications. He earned a master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA and a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication from Visvesvaraya Technological University, India
