Paper Abstract: Nowadays, PCIe 5.0 is increasingly attracting the attention of the industry. PCIe 5.0 is coming along at a rapid pace. The new PCIe 5.0 interface is on the cusp of bringing storage performance that is more or less double Gen4. PCIe 5.0 technical highlights: high bandwidth and low read/write latency. PCIe 5.0 is about to realize its potential in the enterprise storage field. At present, there are few PCIe 5.0 SSD products on the market. How to make full use of PCIe 5.0 high bandwidth and low read/write latency is a challenge for enterprise SSD companies. PCIe 5.0 SSD high-speed characteristics combined with ZNS can further reduce the write amplification of Flash and do better in data placement and IO isolation which improves SSD performance. If users can optimize the upper layer application, the internal fault handling of SSD will be taken over by the upper host, which will not affect SSD performance. This will be a solution for data centers in the future.
