Paper Title: CacheLib: Open Source High Performance DRAM/SSD Hybrid Caching Engine

Paper Abstract: This talk will cover CacheLib which is a high performance and highly scalable DRAM/SSD hybrid caching engine. Within Meta, CacheLib is powering 100's of services and operating exabytes of scale of SSDs. CacheLib is written in C++ and provides thread-safe API and rich feature set to build high throughput, low overhead caching services.

Author Bio: Jaesoo Lee is a Software Engineer at Meta, where he is working on the open source caching engine called CacheLib powering 100's of services backed by exascale of NVMe SSDs. He has been working on NVMe SSD-based storage stack from firmware and Linux NVMe driver/block layer to user-space software for more than 15 years at various South Korea and US-based companies including Meta, Pure Storage, Google, TheAIO (a start-up), and Samsung. He has earned his BS and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Seoul National University.
