NEWM-202B-1: MRAM (New Memory Technologies Track)
Paper Title: Enabling MRAM for Applications

Paper Abstract: STT-MRAM adoption has been driven by the need for persistence, low power and speed. Major suppliers have not taken the lead to enable this technology as a standalone memory replacing their existing portfolio of Low, mid and high density products. The foundries supplying System on a chip have had to enable this technology due to its major performance benefits. However, each foundry has bet on a different IP Supplier, thus making porting and second sourcing difficult. In addition to foundry specific implementation, Standardization and use of Interposer technology (chiplets) promises to solve this problem and speed up adoption of MRAM by bringing on multiple supply lines at the same time.

Paper Author: Danny Sabour, VP of Marketing, Avalanche Technology

Author Bio: Danny Sabour is VP Marketing at Avalanche Technology, where he drives the technology roadmap, development, and memory architectures for standalone and embedded MRAM. Before joining Avalanche, he held VP Marketing positions at Cypress, Spansion and Intel where he defined products such as SoC’s for Set Top boxes to Secure Non-Volatile Memory sub-systems used today for ADAS. He has over 30 years experience in the semiconductor industry and earned an MS in Computer Science and Electronic Engineering from University College London.
