AUTO-101-1: Tomorrow's Auto Safety/Security Requirements (Automotive Applications Track)
Paper Title: The Role of Secure Flash Memory in Automotive Applications

Paper Abstract: The number of devices being connected to public networks is growing exponentially. With this growth comes inevitable security threats from different sources, targeting devices as small as connected temperature sensors or as large as modern connected vehicles. As more devices, vehicles, homes, and "things" are transformed by ubiquitous connectivity, this threat increases. Non-volatile memory is a crucial component and a common target for cyber attacks in these applications, and therefore essential that sensitive data be stored securely. This presentation will explain current methods and designs being implemented to protect highly sensitive data in secure flash memory in automotive applications.
