Paper Title: Fast Integration and Furious Performance with Zoned Flash Drives

Paper Abstract: Instead of modifying systems and applications to match SSD requirements, Zoned Flash drives can be configured to match different system and application requirements. This presentation will explore several approaches to simplifying Zoned Flash integration and optimizing system performance. It will also include performance benchmarks based on stacks integrated with actual Zoned Flash drives, ranging from storage systems to data base applications and virtual machines.

Author Bio: Robert Lercari is a co-founder and VP of Engineering at Radian Memory Systems. He has designed Flash and NVRAM memory products for data center applications for about 20 years. In addition to memory devices, he has designed custom hardware to support mirroring of PCI memory in highly available clusters, in addition to real-time, reflective memory networks.
