ENST-202B-1: Flash in Cloud Computing (Enterprise Storage Track)
Paper Title: Open Composable Disaggregated Infrastructures for the Edge

Paper Abstract: Designing data centers for the edge provides a number of new challenges. Learn how composable disaggregated infrastructures (CDI) can better utilize your limited available rack space. Use disaggregated hardware elements (compute, GPU, FPGA, memory, flash, and disk) to re-configure virtual systems on-the-fly. A virtual system can be right-sized for any application, used for as long as needed, and then torn down so that elements can be returned to the pool and orchestrated into a new virtual system. Disaggregated hardware elements can be added as needed, optimizing cost of ownership as well.
