NVMF-301-1: Demystifying NVMe over Fabrics (NVMe-oF Track)
Paper Title: Leading Early Adopter Markets for NVMe-oF

Paper Abstract: NVMe-oF is rapidly gaining momentum as a standard way to network flash storage and as a replacement for separate SANs. Among the likely early adopter markets are multimedia, financial services, media and entertainment, and cloud computing. Key characteristics leading to such adoption are huge datasets, varied workloads, low latency requirements, and need for extremely high, scalable performance. The advantages NVMe-oF presents include higher data rates than disk interfaces, established standards in PCIe and NVMe, great flexibility, and the ability to allow for varied transports. Examples illustrate how specific customers have deployed NVMe-oF successfully.
