ENST-102A-1: Enterprise Storage Design (Enterprise Storage Track)
Paper Title: Advancing NVMe-oF Adoption Based on Practical Experience

Paper Abstract: Hyperscalers, financial services firms, HPC organizations, and leaders in media and entertainment have been rapidly adopting NVMe-oF to accelerate workloads and achieve the benefits of shared storage. They are typically deploying the technology with new scale-out applications or using it as a bridge from virtualized to containerized applications. Practical experience has led to many lessons learned about NVMe drive technology, “standard” OS drivers, network tuning. and the reality of software-defined vs. appliance deployment models. Understanding the technical details of real-world experience will help the community advance NVMe-oF adoption.
