Paper Title: NVMe Mass Storage Integration on Emerging Automotive Systems

Paper Abstract: The natural anticipation from an end customer perspective is that the vehicle evolves in hardware and software as fast as the mobile phone. Therefore emerging automotive platforms are required to combine cutting edge computational power with safety and reliability. In this context modern automotive operating systems frequently raise the requirements for the mass storage device on the platform while the flash market for high performant and automotive mass storage is very limited. In our presentation an automotive mass storage integration will be showcased by one of our available automotive reference platforms. The yielding solution will be discussed in terms of key performance indicators.

Paper Author: Matthias Beste, HW Design Engineer, Intel

Author Bio: Matthias Beste has a MS in EE (Microelectronis) from the University of Hannover in 2010. Matthias interests are on emerging semicoductor technologies and its productization. After 3 years of research at the Karlsruhe Institue of Technology on this field, Matthias joint a small company called race result as an HW Design Engineer and finally joint Intel in 2017 where he is responsible for the mass storage integration on automotive platforms.
