NVME-202-1: PCIe/NVMe Storage (NVMe Track)
Paper Title: Physical Partitioning NVMe Controller Design for Improved SSD QOS Consistency

Paper Abstract: Significant efforts have been invested in improving QOS for enterprise storage and data center applications. In this talk, SMI will share findings based on the successful partitioning of physical controller resources to support I/O Isolation for NVMe Sets in order to reduce the effects of noisy neighbors. The benefits of optimizing SSDs for improved and predictable latency with NVMe Sets while supporting multiple namespaces and endurance groups will also be discussed.

Paper Author: Gary Adams, Associate VP of Enterprise Marketing, SMI

Author Bio: Gary has over 20 years in enterprise market experience and is currently focused on SMI’s Enterprise SSD controller roadmap planning and market strategy.
