Paper Abstract: Accessing remote persistent memory brings some of the fundamentals of networking architecture to the front, for example the definition of reliability. To achieve truly high application efficiency in accessing a remote persistent memory service, network architects must design some key features at the protocol layer. In this talk we will outline the industry requirements for networked persistent memory and discuss the architectural alternatives going forward.
