Paper Title: Oracle Exadata: Achieving Memory-Level Performance with NVME Flash

Paper Abstract: New technologies such as PCIe NVMe flash open many new possibilities for modern databases. A carefully architected shared NVMe flash system such as Exadata can deliver close to memory performance and scale up to hundreds of terabytes in capacity. This session offers an inside view of how Oracle Exadata embraces flash in its architecture and couples it with software to deliver DRAM-level performance with increased availability and massive capacity. The session explores in detail the unique innovations that Exadata offers to maximize database performance while maintaining transactional consistency and high availability.
