Paper Title: Non-Disruptive Firmware Upgrades for Enterprise SSDs

Paper Abstract: Enterprises typically want no downtime or disruptions in their storage systems. However, SSD firmware generally requires upgrades during the driveās lifetime. To avoid system downtime (and security issues as well), SSD controllers must provide built-in features that allow for secure, non-disruptive firmware upgrades. An example of an NVMe SSD illustrates what is needed and how the process works.
