Paper Title: New Trends for Storage in Edge Computing

Paper Abstract: Edge computing is a method of optimizing cloud computing systems by performing data processing at the edge of the network, near the source of the data. Data is generated and stored in the local device. Only a small amount of processed data is transferred to a central cloud. Typical applications for edge computing include AI, IoT, drones, virtual reality, and autonomous driving. Edge computing introduces new requirements for storage, including performance, physical size, low power consumption, and security. We will focus on flash memory applications and trends in edge computing and show how flash memory devices satisfy the new requirements.
