Paper Title: One-Chip Flash Solution for Industrial Applications

Paper Abstract: Many industrial applications, including ones in process control, industrial control, instrumentation, test equipment, vehicles, and mil/aero, require a small, simple package that contains processing, memory, and storage in one unit. A newly developed device, called the One-Chip Flash Storage, integrates a controller, flash memory chips, and other essential components in a BGA package. The device offers many advantages, including a small, simple form factor; vibration protection when mounted on a PCB; high-efficiency interface; and low power consumption, It is highly suitable for embedded, portable, mobile, handheld, or remote system applications. A survey of case studies shows the key factors to be considered in the device's use and the wide range of situations it can handle.
