Paper Title: Data needed from Drones? Yes, and the data is rich. Recovery of a drone.

Paper Abstract: All IOT may not hold data or metadata that is needed to be retrieved, but Drones have a rich amount of data the resides in the SD card and the embedded eMMC. DriveSavers has had many inquiries and opportunities for recovery. We look at recovering footage and metadata from a Mavic Air and what opportunities are available for data recovery.

Author Bio: As a Flash Recovery Engineer at DriveSavers, Will DeLisi leads a team specializing in smartphone, tablet and other types of NAND flash storage device data recovery. Prior to joining DriveSavers, DeLisi worked at Apple computer in Houston, Texas. There, he led 60 IT professionals responsible for the triage, training, repair and other technical needs of over 400 customers per day. Before working with Apple, DeLisi worked at T-Mobile, training employees at over 60 stores and helping the company grow into the largest and most profitable market in Texas. DeLisi has eight certifications specific to NAND flash and smartphone recoveries, and continues to expand his knowledge, understanding and capabilities as technology evolves.

Author 2 Bio: As a Data Recovery Engineer at DriveSavers, Josey Santana specializes in logical and physical data recovery of smartphones, tablets, camera cards and other types of NAND flash storage devices, as well as computers with Mac operating systems. Prior to joining DriveSavers, Santana worked at Apple in Houston and San Francisco. There, he took on the role of Expert. Since joining the company in 2016, Santana has assisted in the development of new tools, technology and techniques to overcome unique challenges and recover critical user data.
