Paper Title: Simplifying Chiplet-Based Development with Hardware Emulation Tools

Paper Abstract: Full software simulation of chiplet-based systems can slow down the development process severely. Small changes often require a complete recompilation which takes a long time. An alternative is to use a desktop emulator that works at hardware speeds. Based on the latest large FPGAs, it allows for simple, fast changes. It can thus greatly accelerate silicon verification and pre-silicon software development. New emulation tools have become available that offer higher performance, easier development, more flexibility, greater security, and more features for adding common functions, collecting and analyzing data, and verifying designs.

Paper Author: Mike Li, VP of Engineering & New Products, Corigine

Author Bio: Mike Li is VP Engineering/New Products at Corigine, where he works on emulator design. He was previously VP Engineering at NovuMind, an AI accelerator company, where he led a team developing a 28 nm AI chip and several products based on it. He was also Technical Director at Inphi, where he drove FinFET design flow and led mixed signal design for the first 16nm 400G PAM4 Serdes. He holds a granted patent on AI accelerators and has two more pending. He earned an MSEE from NYU.
